Doordash Delivery Program
At Basic Needs, we are aware of the constrains that our hour of operations may interfere with students usage of the program for their allotted 15 weekly points at the Triton Food Pantry and/or their weekly personal hygiene bag appointment (i.e: class schedule conflict, working, etc).
Therefore, the DoorDash Delivery Program is for registered UC San Diego students to have equitable access to food by delivering to their homes.
This program allows students to utilized their one pantry and personal hygiene program visit per week!
Please note: All items offered through the Personal Hygiene Program are travel size. Not all Personal Hygiene Items are offered through the DoorDash Delivery Program.**
Delivery
Doordash orders are scheduled weekly on Thursdays after 5 PM directly to your door!
Please Note: Program Will Resume Week 2 of Spring Quarter
Eligibility
Lacking Transportation
OR
Registered with OSD and/or have a disability
OR
Scheduling conflicts with Pantry Hours (i.e: class, work, etc.)
Complete the google form to sign up which week of the quarter you want to receive your bag and items you wish to receive!
Things to Know
Fill the form at least 3 days before delivery to receive a bag of pantry items.
We'll try to accommodate your requests, but stock availability may vary week to week.
FAQ
Is it free?
Yes! The Doordash program is available for all registered and enrolled students. This initative is to allow students to still be able to utilize their weekly Triton Food Pantry & Personal Hygiene Program visit outside of our hours of operations.
Do I need to be present to receive the order?
We highly encourge users to be available to receive the orders or letting their roommmate (if applicable) know the delivery taking place. If you are not able to receive the doordash delivery, the doordash driver will leave it at the home address provide.
Do I have to put an order for both Triton Food Pantry & Personal Hygiene?
You are able to utilize this service, if eligible, for either!

“The DoorDash Program really helps a lot as myself as a commuter student who doesn’t have a car, carrying the pantry around the campus is really heavy and there’s no place to store them. Also, especially for frozen food, it takes a long time for me to get home, so it will be great if DoorDash can deliver them to my house for me, although I haven’t yet to receive the frozen product to my house. The Program is excellent, and I am very grateful for the personal hygiene products delivered, but I hope there will be improvement on pantries delivered by DoorDash.“
