As a Basic Needs Peer Educator, Keying Yao is dedicated to breaking information barriers and promoting equitable access to food, transportation, and housing for students and community members. She believes that when people’s basic needs are met, they can fully focus on learning, living, and exploring their potential. In the future, she hopes to use bioinformatics to improve public health, and dreams of volunteering at an animal shelter alongside her beloved cat.
